Wellington Open 2025

This tournament is being run over Easter, at the Wellington Bridge Club 17 Tinakori Road, Wellington.

Important, final day is Monday not Sunday

This year we are running the tournament on Friday, Saturday and Monday. Note that because The Bridge Club is not available on Sunday, we are playing the third day of the tournament on Monday instead. We haven't been able to secure alternative accommodation, so this is the compromise we have decided on to allow the tournament to go ahead.

Summary

Scheduled dates: Easter Friday, Saturday and Monday 18th-19th and 21st April 2021. Note no play on Easter Sunday.
Scheduled times: Two rounds per day at 9:30am and 2:30pm
Format: A Single Six Round Swiss tournament
Time Control: 90 minutes for the game with an additional 30 seconds per move starting from move one
Rating: FIDE and NZCF rated
Eligibility: Open to all, except that non NZ residents must have a FIDE ID
