The Wellington Chess Club meets every Thursday evening (excluding January) at the Wellington Bridge Club, 17 Tinakori Road Thorndon.

Please don't park at the Bridge Club, there's plenty of parking on Thorndon Quay (under the motorway) just a short walk away (free in the evening only).

The NZ Seniors and Veterans Champs is on in Napier from November 7th to 9th.
The Club Champs is under way! It's not too late to enter the Swiss. Some reference information from Daniel:
Byes
Please don't do the Round Robin if you know you wont be able to make it for more than two nights. For the
Swiss if you let Daniel (wellingtonchessnz@gmail.com) know
before 9pm Wednesday you can have unlimited half-point byes, and unlimited one point byes if you are unable
to attend due to representing our club in a tournament.
Registration
If you have filled in the sheet to register last week you are already signed up. Otherwise, please
email Daniel letting him know by midday this Thursday if you
are keen to play in the Round Robins, and before 5pm this Thursday for the Swiss.
Draw
For all Swiss rounds except round 1, the Swiss draw will be published after 9pm the night before. The Round
Robins schedule will be published at the start of the tournament.
We have big plans for the Junior Club, it will be open again next Thursday and our revamp plans will be announced soon.
The long awaited database update is available - the Wellington database has been folded into the larger NZ (Peter Stuart) database with full name compatibility between the two. Get it from the NZCF page.
