The Junior Chess Club is restarting on Thursday May 8th at 6:30pm

When and where

Thursdays 6.30pm to 7.30pm 17 Tinakori Rd, Thorndon (Bridge Club premises) Please don't park on-site, there is plenty of parking on Thorndon Quay.

What happens

We run a short, optional, lesson at the start of the session. Boards are set up for the kids to play short games against each other. At this stage it is fairly informal but we are looking to introduce ‘blitz’ tournaments later in 2024. We welcome kids of all ages and skill levels. Some of our older juniors come along (who are all good chess players) to run the lessons and to help kids where needed.

If you / your kid is interested in joining the Junior Chess Club, just come along.

Parking

Please don't park in the Bridge Club carpark (underneath or at the front of the building). We do not have any rights, and you could well be blocked in and stuck until 11pm. There is plenty of parking on Thorndon Quay
